Los estudiantes del Preuniversitario están invitados a participar de un “Quiz Night” virtual (noche de preguntas) a realizarse el domingo 17 de mayo a las 19 horas. Es una actividad “social” en inglés organizado por “The Montevideo Players Society”. Los equipos se forman con 5 estudiantes cada uno, tienen que tener un nombre y anotarse. Es necesario que tengan un grupo WA entre ellos y buen WiFi. Las hojas de preguntas los recibirán via un “link” esa noche, que a su vez los dirige a un “Smartsheet Form” donde van a contestar las preguntas. Los equipos competirán entre ellos contestando varias categorías en un contexto “contra reloj”. Es una competencia por tiempo y una vez entregadas las respuestas hay un equipo de TMPS que corrigen y se van sumando puntos a los equipos participantes. Esta actividad ya es una tradición entre la sociedad británica en el Uruguay, el cual se organiza varias veces en el año (como también sus obras de teatro), ésta siendo la primera vez por Zoom. El costo del mismo es voluntario con un mínimo de $100 el cual es una contribución benéfica y se recaudarán fondos para donar a “Canastas.uy”. En breves se les enviará un tutorial para la misma.

Dear all, Since we’re all craving some “normality” these days, we present to you our ancient tradition: our beloved Quiz Night, this time via Zoom. We would like to thank our dear member Jon Prentice for the idea and the help designing this event. The rules of this Quiz and how to play it are very similar to what we are all already used to: teams of 4-5 people compete amongst each other in different categories, in a thrilling race against the clock. However, this Quiz is going to be virtual: participants will connect to a Zoom meeting (we will send the link to you once you enrol) and the Organizers will put each team into a different “room”. This way, each team will have a private conversation to discuss the answers. Each paper will come as a link, which will take you to a SmartSheet form, where you’ll find the questions and can fill in the answers. It is a pretty straightforward process, and we’ll be providing a Video Tutorial soon to demonstrate how easy it is. The requirements to participate are the following: i. Form a team of 4-5 ii. It is also advised that the team creates a WhatsApp group with the participants, so that they can communicate through there in case their connection to our Zoom meeting fails. Pricing: The prices for this Quiz Night are up to the participant, who will be able to choose between a ticket of 100 $, 200 $ or 500 $. There are three options for the tickets because the money collected from this Quiz Night will be donated in its entirety to Canastas.uy More information to come!
